Gov. Justice announces updates to comprehensive website to track West Virginia’s IIJA plans and accomplishments
Gov. Justice announced major upgrades to the state’s comprehensive infrastructure website to give Mountain State residents complete access to the state’s plans and accomplishments under the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act or IIJA.

West Virginia is expected to receive $7 billion in federal funding between 2022 and 2027 through the IIJA, perhaps the largest federal infrastructure investment program in history.

"We have a ton of infrastructure projects already going, with more on the way," Gov. Justice said. "This website is the most accurate and transparent way for people to keep track of how federal dollars are being spent on those projects around the state. There is a lot of money rolling into West Virginia right now, and this is how you can keep track of how it is being used for you.”

Gov. Justice announces MOU between DNR, Boy Scouts to promote education and conservation
Gov. Jim Justice announced that the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and the Buckskin Council of the Boy Scouts of America officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow scouts to utilize various state parks for activities while encouraging scouts to contribute to the conservation and preservation of these natural treasures through service projects.

“I’m thrilled that this collaboration between the WVDNR and Boy Scouts has come together and look forward to seeing all the ways these two incredible organizations will work together to instill a love for nature in our youth and promote the preservation of West Virginia's natural beauty for generations to come,” Gov. Justice said. “This partnership will give scouts access to unforgettable outdoor experiences and empower them to actively engage in conservation efforts in our beautiful state parks.”

Gov. Justice appoints Brian Cunningham as Director of PEIA
Gov. Justice announced that he has appointed Brian Cunningham as Director of the West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA).

Cunningham grew up in Ivydale, WV and graduated from Clay County High School. Upon earning a BA from WVU, Brian moved to Charleston and embarked on a 7-year journey working with community health centers while at the same time directing several health-related, non-profit entities.

Gov. Justice announces approval of additional money for West Virginia Homeowners Rescue Program
The West Virginia Homeowners Rescue Program has provided more than $19 million to assist homeowners with their mortgage payments, utility bills, property taxes, homeowners insurance, and other housing-related expenses. 

Recently, the U.S. Treasury approved West Virginia's proposal to use some of the leftover Homeowner Rescue funds for emergency repair support. Qualified homeowners may be eligible for up to $10,000 in aid specifically for home repairs, in addition to other assistance with housing expenses.

Gov. Justice announces $2.6 million awarded in Justice Reinvestment Initiative Treatment Supervision grants
Gov. Justice announced that he has awarded $2,611,200 in West Virginia Justice Reinvestment Initiative Treatment Supervision (JRI-TS) grant funds to 13 projects.

These funds will be used to support the continued operation of treatment supervision programs throughout the state.

These funds are provided by the State of West Virginia and are administered by the Justice and Community Services (JCS) Section of the Division of Administrative Services (DAS).
