Clendenin, W.Va. – Today, Governor Patrick Morrisey was joined by Clendenin Mayor Kay Summers, Division of Natural Resources Director Brett McMillion, and local residents for the official opening of the Elk River Rail Trailhead in Clendenin. 

The Elk River Rail Trail is 52 miles of trail running alongside the Elk River from Gassaway to Clendenin. The new trailhead in Clendenin includes a parking lot with accessible parking, a shelter, benches, a bike rack, and a bike maintenance station. This expansion of the trail seeks to attract additional economic development and tourism to the region.
