Governor Patrick Morrisey orders flags to be flown at half-staff on January 27 in honor of former Delegate Michael J. Angelucci II

CHARLESTON, WV - Governor Patrick Morrisey ordered flags to be flown at half-staff at the West Virginia Capitol Complex and all government buildings in Marion County on Monday, January 27, 2025, to honor the life and service of former Delegate Michael J. Angelucci II.

Michael graduated from North Marion High School where his leadership abilities began to flourish, representing his class as Senior Class President, National Honor Society President, and Husky Hero of the Year. Michael began working for Marion County Rescue Squad shortly after graduating from Fairmont State Pierpont and Technical College. To this day, he holds the title as the youngest licensed Paramedic in West Virginia. Michael proudly served the residents of Marion County for nearly 25 years, during which he served as administrator for 15 years.

In 2018, Michael was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates. In 2020, he was awarded the title of Marion County Public Servant of the Year. Michael was deeply involved in the United Way of Marion County and formerly served as their fundraising chairman.
