Governor Patrick Morrisey Announces Appointments to Fairmont State University Board of Governors

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Governor Patrick Morrisey today announced the re-appointment of Jason Henderson and the appointments of Timothy Craig Jennings and Jonathan Board to the Fairmont State University Board of Governors. These three distinguished Fairmont State alumni bring decades of expertise in finance, infrastructure, public policy, and law to the University’s leadership team.

“Fairmont State University is a cornerstone of education and economic growth in North Central West Virginia, and these three individuals represent the very best of what this institution produces,” said Governor Patrick Morrisey. “Jason, Craig, and Jonathan are accomplished professionals in their respective fields. I am confident their leadership will ensure that Fairmont State continues to provide world-class opportunities for its students and the community.”

Re-appointed to the Board, Henderson is a Bridgeport native and Chief Financial Officer at Energy Transportation. After a life-altering accident in 2007, Fairmont State provided the academic and rehabilitative support that allowed Henderson to complete his degree in Business Administration before earning an MBA from West Virginia University. In addition to his role at Energy Transportation, he is the principal owner of Energy Resource Group, LLC, and a dedicated advocate for community safety.

Newly appointed to the Board is Timothy “Craig” Jennings, a 2003 Civil Engineering Technology graduate. Jennings was a standout leader at Fairmont State, serving as captain of the football team and President of the American Society of Civil Engineers. A resident of Kingwood, Jennings served 12 years as a Preston County Commissioner, co-founded GET Concrete and Olympic Village, and served as a Producer at Bond Insurance Agency. In 2015, he was honored with the FSU Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Also a new appointment, Jonathan Board brings a high-level background in law and public policy to the Board of Governors. A graduate of Fairmont State and the WVU College of Law, he has advised state and federal agencies—including the Department of War and the VA—on health governance and technology. Most recently, Board was appointed Executive Director of the West Virginia First Foundation. A fifth-generation West Virginian, he has held executive leadership roles at Mon Health System and Vandalia Health.
