Charleston, WV – Today, Governor Patrick Morrisey announced the appointment of Betsy Kelly to serve in the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 9th District.
“Betsy Kelly brings to this role the values that define so many West Virginians - faith, family, hard work, and a deep connection to the land,” said Governor Morrisey. “As a rural farmer and small-business owner, she understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing our agricultural communities and energy-producing regions. I am confident she will be a strong voice for the people of Pleasant, Ritchie, and Tyler counties.”
Kelly previously served as a Senate page under the sponsorship of former Senator Donna Boley. She is also the daughter of former Delegate John R. Kelly, who represented the 10th District for nearly a decade.
Kelly fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Trenton Barnhart, who now serves in the West Virginia Senate.
