Gov. Justice, WVDOT hold groundbreaking ceremony for Culloden Interchange Roads to Prosperity project
Gov. Justice joined West Virginia Department of Transportation Secretary Jimmy Wriston, P.E., Wednesday to officially break ground on a project to build a new exit on Interstate 64 at Culloden. The interchange will connect US 60 in Culloden with I-64 between Hurricane and Milton. Construction is expected to begin within 30 days.

Gov. Justice: West Virginia really cooking after another month of huge surplus
Gov. Justice announced Wednesday that West Virginia’s General Revenue collections for October 2022 of nearly $492.6 million were $147.8 million above estimates and 29% ahead of prior year receipts. Year-to-date record collections of $2.019 billion were $574.8 million above estimate.

Gov. Justice makes several stops for Community Conversations
This week, Gov. Justice made several stops around West Virginia to hold Community Conversations to discuss his proposal to reduce West Virginia's Personal Income Tax, and his opposition to Amendment 2. The Governor stopped in Wheeling, Parkersburg, Beckley, Bluefield, and Union.

Students invited to participate in annual Almost Heaven Governor’s Art Exhibition
Gov. Justice, the West Virginia Department of Tourism, and the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History invite all all West Virginia students in grades K-12 to participate in the 2023 Almost Heaven Governor’s Art Exhibition. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Dec. 2, 2022. Only one entry may be submitted per student.

The Martin Luther King Jr. State Holiday Commission, in partnership with the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs invites West Virginia students to create original poster, art, music, film, or essay submissions to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. For guidelines and entry forms for all the contests, visit the MLK Commission tab on HHOMA's website at minorityaffairs.wv.gov.
