Applications for 29th Judicial Circuit vacancy now available

CHARLESTON, WV — The Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission is currently receiving applications to fill the judicial court vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Joseph K. Reeder in the 29th Judicial Circuit serving Putnam County.

This application will be to fill the vacancy for the term ending December 31, 2024 in the 29th Judicial Circuit and for the vacancy for the term beginning January 1, 2025 in the 7th Judicial Circuit (the West Virginia Legislature passed House Bill 3332 in the 2023 Regular Session, which changes the 29th Judicial Circuit to the 7th Judicial Circuit asof January 1, 2025).

Candidates must submit their completed applications and letters of recommendation or comment no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024.
