UPDATE: State of the State to be delivered by written message, address to take place at later date following Gov. Justice testing positive for COVID-19

CHARLESTON, WV – After announcing Tuesday evening that he has tested positive for COVID-19, Gov. Jim Justice’s State of the State address, scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2022, will be delivered by written message to the West Virginia Legislature to satisfy constitutional requirements.

The Governor will deliver an address to the West Virginia Legislature at a later date.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Gov. Jim Justice will deliver his sixth State of the State Address to a joint session of the West Virginia Legislature in the House of Delegates chamber, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 7 p.m.
