In accordance with President Biden’s proclamation, Gov. Justice orders all U.S. and State flags to remain at half-staff through Wednesday, April 7

CHARLESTON, WV – In accordance with President Joe Biden’s proclamation, Gov. Jim Justice has issued a proclamation ordering that all United States and West Virginia flags on all State-owned facilities throughout all of West Virginia remain displayed at half-staff through Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in honor and remembrance of Congressman Alcee Hastings, of Florida.

In accordance with a separate presidential proclamation last week, Gov. Justice had previously ordered all U.S. and State flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. However, as a result of today’s new proclamation, all U.S. and State flags are now to remain at half-staff through Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
