CAMERON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice traveled to Cameron Elementary School in Marshall County today, presenting students and staff with a $50,000 check as winners in Round 3 of the “Do it for Babydog” vaccination sweepstakes.

The Governor brought along his pet English Bulldog and sweepstakes mascot, Babydog, and threw a party for the entire school to celebrate.

“Out of all the schools in West Virginia, there are only four winners, and you are one of them,” Gov. Justice said. “I couldn’t be more proud of you and your school. You’re all so special.”

The Governor and Babydog then presented school administrators with the check for $50,000.
The event also included an on-site vaccine clinic organized by the Marshall County Health Department and remarks by Dr. David Hess with WVU Medicine to talk about the safety and efficacy of vaccines.
In addition to the check and party at CES, an additional 126 prizes were awarded on Nov. 19 as part of the first week of giveaways in “Do it for Babydog: Round 3.”

Mauren Fisher of Fairmont won an individual grand prize of a $50,000 Educational Savings Fund, while another 25 young West Virginians each won a $10,000 Educational Savings Fund; a 529 plan managed by the State Treasurer’s Office that will grow over time and be able to be used for any educational-related expenses, not just higher education.

An additional 100 young West Virginians won a Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License.
