Gov. Justice signs proclamation declaring March 2020 as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month

3/5/2020

CHARLESTON, WV – Today, Deputy Chief of Staff Ann Urling read a proclamation, signed by Gov. Jim Justice, declaring March 2020 as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month.

According to the proclamation, this designation formalizes and expands upon the designation 30 years ago in March 1986 as “Hemophilia Awareness Month” by President Ronald Reagan.

Designating March as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month will generate greater awareness and understanding of not only hemophilia but all inheritable bleeding disorders.
