CHARLESTON, WV – In recognition of the breadth of knowledge available and the amount of learning supported at libraries across the state, Gov. Jim Justice issued a proclamation today, officially designating Feb. 10, 2020 as West Virginia Library Day.

A ceremony was held in the Governor’s Reception Room at the State Capitol Building today to present the proclamation.

“Libraries support learning at all of life's stages, including young children discovering stories, students researching papers, immigrants learning English, jobseekers creating resumes, and entrepreneurs exploring business opportunities,” the Governor’s proclamation reads.

The Governor’s proclamation also encourages all citizens to visit a library and take advantage of the wonderful resources available.
