Gov. Justice orders U.S. and State flags to be flown at half-staff in observance of Patriots Day

​CHARLESTON, WV –  In observance of Patriots Day, to honor the memory of those we lost on September 11, 2001, and to pay tribute to all of the patriots who have sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom, Gov. Jim Justice has issued a proclamation, in accordance with President Donald J. Trump’s proclamation, ordering that all United States and West Virginia State flags on all State-owned facilities be displayed at half-staff from dawn to dusk tomorrow, September 11, 2019.

Gov. Justice also requests that all citizens of the State of West Virginia observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time tomorrow to honor the innocent victims who perished on September 11, 2001.
