CHARLESTON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice announced today that he has awarded $805,000 in West Virginia Statewide Planning, Coordination, and Implementation Program (SPCIP) grant funds to 13 projects. These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services throughout the state.
These funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Justice; Office of Justice Programs; Bureau of Justice Assistance and are administered by the West Virginia Division of Administrative Services; Justice and Community Services.
Funds were awarded to the following:
MERCER COUNTY
Community Action of South Eastern West Virginia, Inc.
Amount: $130,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Mercer County.
DODDRIDGE COUNTY
Doddridge County Commission
Amount: $30,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Doddridge County.
HAMPSHIRE COUNTY
Hampshire County Commission
Amount: $32,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Hampshire County.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
Jefferson Day Report Center, Inc.
Amount: $40,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Jefferson County.
LOGAN, BOONE, LINCOLN, AND MINGO COUNTIES
Logan County Commission
Amount: $60,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Logan, Boone, Lincoln, and Mingo counties.
MCDOWELL COUNTY
McDowell County Commission
Amount: $32,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in McDowell County.
MORGAN COUNTY
Morgan County Commission
Amount: $60,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Morgan County.
WOOD COUNTY
Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home
Amount: $60,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Wood County.
NICHOLAS COUNTY
Nicholas County Commission
Amount: $42,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Nicholas County.
LOGAN COUNTY
Recovery Group of Southern West Virginia, Inc.
Amount: $60,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Logan County.
CABELL, KANAWHA, PUTNAM, MERCER, AND LOGAN COUNTIES
Recovery Point of Huntington, Inc.
Amount: $165,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Cabell, Kanawha, Putnam, Mercer, and Logan counties.
TAYLOR AND BARBOUR COUNTIES
Taylor County Commission
Amount: $32,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Taylor and Barbour counties.
