3/25/2018

CHARLESTON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice and First Lady Cathy Justice issued the following statement after two multiple fatality vehicle accidents that took place Saturday evening in Kanawha County.

“We would like everyone to join us as we pray for all the victims that were involved in two tragic motor vehicle accidents that took place Saturday evening in Kanawha County, especially for the family and friends of our first responders from the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department who were responding to the scene,” said Gov. Justice. “We are heartbroken at the loss of two of our volunteer firefighters and are praying and hopeful that three others who were severely injured will recover quickly. Our first responders risk their lives every day for us and when events like this happen it serves as a somber reminder of just how dangerous the public service they provide for us can be. It’s a sad, sad day.”
