CHARLESTON, WV - Today, Gov. Jim Justice released $1.5 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds dedicated to the Town of Bath’s Water Line Replacement and System Improvements Project.
"These funds will bring valuable, much-needed infrastructure upgrades to this growing community,” said Gov. Justice. “When completed, this project will impact over 4,000 residents and 1,142 households in Morgan County. This is great news for the Eastern Panhandle.”
This project will replace and upgrade an antiquated water system that experiences significant leaks throughout the coverage area. The upgrades will provide consistent pressure and new hydrants to address fire safety concerns and ensure potable water availability for existing and future customers.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development provides Community Development Block Grant funds to the Mountain State annually. The Community Advancement and Development Division of the West Virginia Development Office manages these funds.
