CHARLESTON, WV – President George H. W. Bush was a great man, a great public servant, and a brave soldier and veteran; he will be missed by all. Cathy and I send our prayers and condolences to the Bush family and ask all West Virginians to join with us.
In honor and commemoration of President George Herbert Walker Bush, I have issued a proclamation, in accordance with U.S. Code (4 U.S.C. 76m) and a declaration from the President issued on December 1, 2018, ordering that all United States and West Virginia State flags on all State-owned facilities be displayed at half-staff IMMEDIATELY through sunset on December 30, 2018.
