Gov. Justice awards contingency funds to Follansbee for reimbursement of expenses incurred following July 2016 flooding

CHARLESTON, WV - Gov. Jim Justice announced today that he has awarded Follansbee $390,865 from the Governor's Contingency Fund for reimbursement of expenses the city incurred following a devastating flood on July 31, 2016.
  • Over 120 homes, 30 businesses, and 3 churches in Follansbee were severely damaged from the flood waters and the mud, silt and debris.
  • The city’s volunteer fire department also sustained significant damage to their equipment and living quarters.​
