CHARLESTON, WV – Today Gov. Jim Justice appointed Nancy Jo White of Berkeley Springs to the West Virginia Board of Education.
White fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Jeffrey Flanagan earlier this year.
A native of Taylor County, White retired as the treasurer for Morgan County Schools in 2014. In her 36 years of professional work experience as a financial officer in West Virginia’s public schools, she also worked in Jefferson, Lewis and Taylor counties. From 2014 to 2018 she was the executive director of the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials.
“I am thrilled and honored that Gov. Justice has chosen me to serve the children, teachers, school service personnel and citizens of West Virginia,” White said.
She is married to David T. White and they have three daughters, Jacqueline Holbert of Bridgeport, Meredith Hertzler and Michelle White, both of Richmond, Va., six grandchildren and one great grandchild. |
