Gov. Justice announces informational meeting for employees impacted by layoffs at Mylan Pharmaceuticals

CHARLESTON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice announced today that an informational meeting for employees of Mylan Pharmaceuticals, affected by last week’s announcement of layoffs at the company’s Monongalia County operations, will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Lakeview Golf & Resort Spa, University Hall.“We are marshaling all of the state’s resources into the Morgantown area to provide assistance for these employees and we will continue our efforts to make sure they have every chance to find opportunities so they can stay, live, work and grow their families in West Virginia,” said Gov. Justice.The meeting will provide information about state and federal resources available to assist those employees including:- Education and Training Opportunities
- Unemployment Filing
- Job Search Assistance
- Healthcare Coverage Options
Alphabetical divisions, by last name, and times to attend have been established for these affected employees and are as follows:9 A.M. (A-F)11 A.M. (G-L)1 P.M. (M-R)3 P.M. (S-Z)The event is being conducted by WorkForce West Virginia’s State Dislocated Worker Services Unit and the Region 6 Workforce Development Board.
