Gov. Justice: Additional safety measures continue along I-64 work zone

5/7/2018

CHARLESTON, WV- Gov. Jim Justice said today that the installation of rumble strips has been completed outside the I-64 highway work zone to continue to slow motorists down and enhance safety efforts while construction work is being performed on the road.

“The West Virginia Division of Highways, the West Virginia State Police, as well as other local law enforcement, continue to work together to enact additional safety measures aimed at protecting motorists and construction workers,” Gov. Justice said.

“I’ve instructed our personnel to go above and beyond the national safety standards and we will keep monitoring this situation at all times,” Gov. Justice stated. “We remain committed to making construction zones as safe as we possibly can for motorists and those working on the job.”
