CHARLESTON, WV - First Lady Cathy Justice is excited to announce the winners of the “I am Thankful” essay contest. This contest is the second installment of the First Lady’s “Student Artist Series” initiative. All West Virginia students in the 12th grade were invited to submit an essay of five hundred words or less, telling “What you are most thankful for this year?”
First Lady Justice’s office received 372 essays for the contest.
“I am thrilled with the quality of the essays our 12th grade students wrote. I see many bright futures ahead for the class of 2019,” First Lady Justice said.
Due to the number of submissions received, the Governor and First Lady have decided to name 20 essay winners. The winners of the “I am Thankful” essay contest are: |
